Roses have such a rich history and grow all over the world.  They have captivated us for centuries on so many levels.  While we can appreciate them growing in our gardens and giving us the most amazing aromas, roses can serve us with their medicinal qualities too!

They can be prepared as a beautiful infused honey that just the aroma is enough to make anyone feel greater joy and happiness.

It is a wonderful, safe remedy that can be used for children too.  They help tonify, nourish and build the whole system.

The rose petals and rosehips can be infused into honey, both wild or garden varieties that are red and aromatic can be used, as long as you are sure they have not been sprayed with poison.

Petals and rosehips have a special affinity for healing the heart, physically and emotionally.  They contain anthocyanins which are high in antioxidants and may help with many types of cardiovascular diseases, as well as cancer, diabetes and cognitive decline.  For emotional upsets, take a spoonful of rose petal infused honey and add it to a cup of chamomile tea.  This is helpful to uplift those grieving or are experiencing a broken heart.

Rosehips are especially useful for immune deficiency and Vitamin C deficiency.  It will help during seasons of colds, flu, fever, sore throat and lung ailments.
