Our Dad (encircled in photo) was a prisoner of Adolf Hitler during WWll.
Had it not been for Dad knowing the properties of a Dandelion…his fellow inmates would have missed out on some nutrients they were fortunate to get.
He asked permission in Stalag Luft lll to pick the dandelion and it’s greens. He would make soup with them.
Mind you, it probably did little to ease horrendous pains of starvation, but at least it was to his buddies, one of those things God asks all of us to do.
He helped take care of his fellow men.
Dandelions aren’t weeds.
Plus wishes can be made blowing the mature flower.

Lisa, dear friend of Living Strong, from Barling Arkansas graciously allowed us to share this inspiring story of her father, LT. G. Tom Brown.
After the plane he was on got shot down and his trusty parachute saved his life, he was then captured. Being a pharmacist, he knew the nutritional and healing properties of the Dandelion plant and used his knowledge to be a hero to his fellowmen.
Sir, you are truly an inspiration!
